Atlanta Falcons

Predicted Record: 9-7
Division Record: 5-1
     i. Carolina Panthers: 2-0
     ii. New Orleans Saints: 1-1
     iii. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 2-0

Let me make one thing clear before I start: I like Julio Jones, Roddy White, and Matt Ryan. Those three are enough to form a high powered offense, but the addition of offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan should make the run game noteworthy as well. Although protection has been a problem for the Falcons in recent years, the blocking schemes and misdirections the offensive guru comes up with have the potential to mask their deficiencies. Another bonus is that the defense showed improvement last year and looks to be in an upward trend. With a relatively easy schedule, the Atlanta Falcons should make the playoffs, possibly with over 10 wins this season if everything goes well.
The Falcons have added a bit of talent, but their coaches will give them the opportunity to finally make the breakthrough they've been looking for.

New Orleans Saints

Predicted Record: 7-9
Division Record: 4-2
     i. Atlanta Falcons: 1-1
     ii. Carolina Panthers: 1-1
     iii. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 2-0

The Saints traded away Jimmy Graham and got a nice return value for him. They landed a first round draft pick, a very talented Center, and saved a lot of money which was used to sign an explosive player in C.J. Spiller. Because of this, running the ball should be easy for them as they possess two talented backs in Spiller and Mark Ingram. Drew Brees can also lead a passing attack to be in the top half of the NFL, even without having a premium target (Brandon Cooks is getting there though). The only reason I can't put much faith into this team is because I have doubts about their defense.

The Saints have the necessary players to outperform this prediction.

Carolina Panthers
Predicted Record: 6-10
Division Record: 3-3
     i. Atlanta Falcons: 0-2
     ii. New Orleans Saints: 1-1
     iii. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 1-1

Cam Newton is going to have a tough time this season as his offensive line is still porojs and he lost his favorite receiver to an ACL injury. Reports show that WR Devin Funchess has a possibility of replicating what Kelvin Benjamin accomplished in his rookie season, but even then, the Panthers offense won't be a pretty sight. The defense is highly capable but I don't think they will be able to burden such a large load.

I feel like Cam Newton gets a bad rep even though its his team that's holding him back a lot of the times.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Predicted Record: 3-13
Division Record: 1-5
     i. Atlanta Falcons: 0-2
     ii. Carolina Panthers: 0-2
     iii. New Orleans Saints: 1-1

The Buccaneers are going to have an up-and-down season. While the defense already looks better, and Jameis Winston shows a lot of promise, I don't know much about their offensive line. This forces me to have a lot of doubt in that unit. Winston has talented receiving weapons and a phenomenal arm to feed them the ball, so we can expect to see some nice plays every so often. I'll never forget the words: "Jameis Winston was born to throw a football." Unfortunately, I can see him hitting a rookie wall for a part of the season and having a tough time getting out of the slump, simply because the team around him isn't all that great.
The Buccaneers are definitely a team on the rise. Their fans will love watching Jameis Winston and Mike Evans blossom together.
