NFC East Prediction for the 2015-2016 Season

Other Division Previews done at this point:
AFC East
AFC West
NFC West

Dallas Cowboys
Predicted Record: 12-4
Division Record: 5-1
     i. Philadelphia Eagles: 1-1
     ii. New York Giants: 2-0
     iii. Washington Redskins: 2-0

Dallas has severe questions at running back due to injuries and DeMarco Murray's departure, which has people questioning what this team can accomplish. In spite of that, I believe that Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, and their number one rated offensive line should be able to carry the load though. Last year, Dallas' weakness lied in the defense. To mask that shortcoming, the Cowboys acquired Greg Hardy and Randy Gregory, two moves that I think will pay large dividends to this team.

Dez Bryant has a chance to be the best wide receiver in the NFL this season.

Philadelphia Eagles
Predicted Record: 9-7
Division Record: 4-2
      i. Dallas Cowboys: 1-1
      ii. New York Giants: 1-1
      iii. Washington Redskins: 2-0

The Eagles have A LOT of new faces. They play a rather easy schedule to open the new NFL year, which should make it easier for their newcomers to adjust. But with different players, comes questions. First off, I like QB Sam Bradford but his injury history is very troubling. Even if he is healthy, how much of an upgrade will he be to Nick Foles? They have two new faces on their offensive line. How effective will they be? Runningbacks DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews are also sidelined due to injuries often too. Can we expect a full season from either one of those guys? And what about the loss of Jeremy Maclin? Will rookie wide receiver Nelson Agholor be enough to make up for his departure to Kansas City? On the defensive side of things, they lost DE Trent Cole but added CB Byron Maxwell. Will the defense hold them back again? There's quite a bit to like about the Eagles, but I don't see this team taking the division away from the Cowboys.

Chip Kelly led a questionable off-season, which confused football fans everywhere. The biggest question to ask: will these crazy moves pay off?

New York Giants
Predicted Record: 6-10
Division Record: 2-4
      i. Dallas Cowboys: 0-2

      ii. Philadelphia Eagles: 1-1
      iii. Washington Redskins: 1-1

Everyone has been waiting to see Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz pair up to shred defenses. The vertical attacks will be a pleasure to watch this season, but that's one of the few positives this team has to look forward to. Countless analysts thought the Giants had a successful draft, as they looked to make significant improvement to their offensive line, but injuries to said linemen really damped the Giants' chances of having a title-winning season. With a weakened offensive line and horrid defense, this team's ceiling gets lowered, even though the passing game has the potential to be lethal.

These two are the only reason I am going to pay attention to the New York Giants this year.

Washington Redskins
Predicted Record: 3-13
Division Record: 1-5
      i. Dallas Cowboys: 0-2

      ii. Washington Redskins: 1-1
      iii. Philadelphia Eagles: 0-2

This team made a huge effort to improve their defense, but it's still far from elite. This team might be surprisingly competitive because of that effort, and RB Alfred Morris carrying the offensive load. Unfortunately for the Redskins, the quarterback situation still remains shaky. The front office hoped for a rebound from Robert Griffin III, but his recent concussion should raise some more questions about his health and reliability. After some disastrous seasons, the Redskins may finally be able to start showing glimpses to a brighter future ahead. Just don't expect any drastic changes from the two previous seasons.

Alfred Morris is an incredible talent on a talent depleted team.
