NFC North Preview for the 2015-2016 Season

Green Bay Packers
Predicted Record: 13-3
Division Record: 6-0
     i. Chicago Bears: 2-0
     ii. Detroit Lions: 2-0
     iii. Minnesota Vikings: 2-0

The Green Bay Packers actually faced a few troubles this off-season. Most notably, they lost CB Tramon Williams in free agency, and WR Jordy Nelson to an ACL tear. I think the best move they made may actually be getting B.J. Raji back to full health and 10 pounds lighter. In spite of all this, the Packers are good enough to compete for a title either way. Eddie Lacy looked phenomenal after his slow first month last season, and Aaron Rodgers is still the best QB in the league to most analysts.

Aaron Rodgers is pumped up enough to withstand Jordy Nelson's injury.
Detroit Lions
Predicted Record:10-6
Division Record: 3-3
     i. Chicago Bears: 2-0
     ii. Green Bay Packers: 0-2
     iii. Minnesota Vikings: 1-1

The Detroit Lions still believe in their defensive line despite losing Suh and Nick Fairely. Although signing DT Haloti Ngata will soften that blow, I think it's that's too much talent to replace. On the other side, the offense should take the jump I expected them to take last season now that Megatron is healthy. Other than that, I don't think this team did enough to compete for the division title, especially since they're still somewhat inconsistent too. Fortunately for them, they still have a good chance to earn a Wild Card spot.

Matthew Stafford has the arm strength and pieces necessary to become a top 5 quarterback in the league.
Minnesota Vikings
Predicted Record: 9-7
Division Record: 3-3
     i. Chicago Bears: 1-1
     ii. Detroit Lions: 0-2
     iii. Green Bay Packers: 0-2

A lot of people actually view the Minnesota Vikings as a surprise pick to make the playoffs, and rightfully so. First thing working in their favor is that they get an Adrian Peterson who should be fresh considering he had an entire year off for a non-injury issue. I still view him as the best running back in the league so this is huge in my books. Next, Teddy Bridgewater is showing that he's a productive quarterback. The Vikings went 6-6 with him as a starter last season. More surprisingly, is that four of those losses have been one possession games. Signing WR Mike Wallace was a good idea too since he compliments the team well with his vertical speed and the wide receiver corps is lacking. The Vikings actually have an underrated defense. Last year they gave up the 11th fewest points in the league. While their secondary is prone to making mistakes, the group is young and should improve.
For just the second time in his career, Adrian Peterson is playing with a competent quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater.

Chicago Bears
Predicted Record: 6-10
Division Record: 1-5
     i. Detroit Lions: 0-2
     ii. Green bay Packers: 0-2
     iii. Minnesota Vikings: 1-1

The Chicago Bears don't have a lot going for them. With that in mind, I don't think they will be as bad as people are making out. QB Jay Cutler can't possibly repeat how poorly he played last year. I can't say what exactly happened in the past season, but he's better than that. Their best defensive playmakers, DE Jared Allen and CB Charles Tillman, may be playing on their last legs, but they both still possess great talent. On top of that, WR Alshon Jeffrey is still growing into a premier threat in the NFL and RB Matt Forte still looms among the elite at his position. All this is for nothing though, as the team is aging and is looking to rebuild. One more thing to take note of is that Kevin White was supposed to replace Brandon Marshall, but an injury is slowing that track down.

An uncomfortable moment for the Chicago Bears when Eddie Royal's tweet dissed Jay Cutler. Another awkward thing to consider is that Royal and Cutler played together in Denver years ago too.
