Honorable Mentions
Marshawn Lynch
- Everything points to him either retiring or at the very least, leaving Seattle, which is why I'm not putting him on this list. If his future was more clear then he would easily deserve a spot here.
Justin Forsett
- A big power back that carries the load in an above average offense puts him in a really good situation.
Alfred Morris
- An extremely good running back who, unlike Justin Forsett, is in an offense that completely stinks.
Mark Ingram
- Ingram had a really good season last year and should be a feature back on whatever team this free agent decides to join.
10. CJ Anderson
9. Jeremy Hill
- Hill took over the Bengals running game in big ways towards the end of the year but Giovanni Bernard will always be there to vulture some touches away, especially in the passing game which could alter some values in PPR leagues.
8. Le'Veon Bell
- Bell makes his job look really easy and racks up lots of yards because of it. He may be the safest pick here.
- Lots of people are going to put Murray 1st on their list because of what he did last season but keep in mind he's a free agent and may leave Dallas' top offensive line. He also has a horrible history of injuries. Temper your expectations here.
6. Arian Foster
6. Arian Foster
- This is an optimistic spot for Foster, assuming that him and his defense can stay healthy. His defense is top notch when at full strength which means there is more time for the offense to work. This ranking is also in hopes of Foster finally having an adequate quarterback at the helm which I think if possible if Ryan Mallet is there for an entire season. Lastly, his division is rather easy to run on.
5. Eddie Lacy
- After his slow start, Lacy proved his worth when people were drafting him as the third ranked running back last year. 5. Eddie Lacy
4. Matt Forte
- Now that he gets goal line carries, Forte's value goes up. Chicago abandoned the run a lot last season and I doubt that will happen in a new season with how poorly Cutler has been playing.
3. LeSean McCoy
- There is a lot of talk about who will play quarterback for the Eagles next season but McCoy is going to produce in that fast offense either way.
2. Jamaal Charles
- Injuries are always a bug with Charles because of his small body but the production can never be argued with.
1. Adrian Peterson
- Bridgewater looks like the first competent QB Peterson will play with since Brett Favre. Opposing teams won't be able to stack the box as often as they did.
